2015 End-of-Year Banquet / Elections

VFW_LogoThe 2015 LMC Holiday Banquet was held on December 5, 2015 from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the VFW Post 3433 in Summerville, SC.

Once again,  it was a huge success!  Awesome food, awesome people and awesome fun!  We have some tremendous cooks in our club and maybe we should host a “Tastes of Summerville” event or something!

We had a decent turnout considering all the events going on this time of year! About 30 members and their family  and friends attended.  Total attendance was about 70.  Special thanks goes out to all those responsible for organizing the banquet, came early to set things up and stayed afterwards to clean up and restore order.   Additionally, we thank the VFW Post 3433 for letting us one again use their facilities.

Eye-PadAgain, it was a wonderful opportunity to get together with the LMC members and their families, have some great fellowship, great food, and a fun time before we put our rides in for the winter. Fortunately in the Low Country, winter is not too long! The Secret Santa was one again a huge hit!  The big (“secret”) prize everyone was after was the iPad.  We want to congratulate Bo Harrell for going the distance and winning the iPad (pronounced “Eye-Pad“) 🙂

Of course as always, there was a little club business to tend to on this day. Our yearly banquet is also where we elect new club officers for the coming year.  The officers-elect for the 2016 calendar year are: LMC Officers for 2016:

  • President – Dennis Warren
  • Vice President – Jay Palen
  • Secretary – Sue Zoltanski
  • Treasurer – Carl Hunter
  • Webmaster – Dennis Warren
  • Photographer / Historian – Bill Hamilton, Jr.
  • Charity Liaison – VACANT
  • Event Coordinator – Wes Coleman

We would like to recognize and express our thanks and appreciation to our outgoing officers Shane Graves (pres), Chris Skidmore (vp), Alan Hunt (tres), and Robin Graves (charity liaison) for there dedication and support over the last two years.  If it were not for them we would not be the club we are today!  Some of them have served other offices in the past as well.  It is challenging at times, but the rewards are great.  We have always had great leaders and great members who unselfishly volunteer their time, talent and resources for the various charitable causes the club supports.    People often don’t like to get involved, but the rewards are great.  Volunteer today!
