Let's not forget to welcome out newest members Brandon Lambert, Dan Minnich , Jonas Sosa, and Mike Trossbach!

Summer is in full swing, and while the heat is keeping a lot of us inside in that sweet A/C, there are still a lot of great car related events going on. One of the best ways to avoid the Lowcountry humidity is to come out and enjoy those early morning Cars and Coffee events, including our very own Summerville Cars and Coffee now being held every 3rd Saturday in historic downtown Summerville! The next one is in just under 2 weeks on July 20th!

If you're not always a morning person, then ride out to one of the many cruise-ins happening during the evenings. Of course we have our Saturday Sonic Cruise-ins (1st and 3rd Saturdays are hosted by LMC, 2nd and 4th are hosted by our friends at SRU), and there are plenty of other cruise-ins happening around the lowcountry!

For the bravehearts there are still shows and events all over. To see what they are and where its all happening, check out our member calendar as well as which is our shared calendar with the Charleston and Lowcountry Auto Club Council (CLACC)!

LMC is excited to announce that we are hosting Summerville Cars and Coffee to be held starting on Saturday, June 29th (7am-10am) at Hutchinson Square in the heart of historic Summerville.  After this it will return monthly on every 3rd Saturday. Our gracious sponsor, coffee shop and co-hosts will be Cuppa Manna at 100 S. Main Street, Summerville.

Speaking of co-hosts, we are also very pleased to announce that Southern Mustang and Ford (SMAF) will also be co-hosting. We have several other clubs and organizations that are very interested in co-hosting as well. Developing.

A little background- Years ago LMC hosted a cars and coffee event at Hutchinson Square, but the coffee shop at that time did not open early on Saturdays which led to several organizers trying other locations with limited success. Fast forward until this year and as many of you may know, the Summerville Cars and Coffee event has been struggling due to parking problems. While Coastal Coffee Roasters have been very welcoming to us and a great bunch of folks, the owners of the parking lot across the street were unable to allow public access for participants. This forced the organizers to seek help. After discussions with Cuppa Manna, Town Hall, Summerville PD, LMC and Lee Girard (Summerville Cars and Coffee at the old location), we were able to secure a fantastic new location!

Now we have come full circle. With your help we can make Summerville Cars and Coffee a great local activity for those early birds and a perfect  gathering location for folks doing cruises, road trips, shows, etc. Come on and check it out!

When: Saturday, June 29th, 7am-10pm (thereafter every 3rd Saturday)

After searching trough a multitude of potential solutions, it is looking like our next club management system will be Wild Apricot. They have a strong reputation and a well rounded feature set supporting what looks like most if not all of our needs. With your help we'll give it a thorough workout during our 30 day trail period. After that we will decide if this is what we will go with. Please provide your feedback to me (Shane) ASAP. Thanks!
