Happy New Year!
As your outgoing President for 2016, I would like to take this time to thank you all for the honor of serving as your President (and webmaster, and secretary...and...) for 2016. We had an AWESOME record-breaking year! I had two goals at the beginning of last year. One was to add another fundraising car show, and the other was to increase our fundraising for our other regular recurring annual car shows.
All told, for 2016 we raised approximately $15,500 for charity! We held 3 car shows this year. In April, we had the 1st Annual Gator Show supporting the Goose Creek High School Booster Club where we raised about $1,400. In May we held our 4th Annual Miracle Cruise-in show at Sam's Club. We raised about $5,100 in support of the Children's Miracle Network at MUSC. And last but certainly not least we raised a record-breaking $9,000 for the Summerville Miracle League at our 4th Annual Dream Machines show held this year at Nexton in Summerville. Many thanks go out to all those who helped organize and put on the car shows. These events are a lot of fun and it is very rewarding to be able to give back to our community.
The Annual Holiday Banquet
Our annual Holiday Banquet for 2016 was held on December 10, 2016 from 11:00am - 3:00pm at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC. Once again, it was a huge success! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the awesome food, fun, and fellowship!

Thanks to outgoing officers for 2016
We would like to recognize and express our thanks and appreciation to our outgoing officers Dennis Warren (pres), Jay Palen (vp), Carl Hunter (tres), and Wes Coleman (Events) for there dedication and support in 2016. We had a record breaking year in the way of fundraising and look forward to next year!
And for the rest of the story....
Turnout for our end-of-year banquet was a little low this year considering we are 100+ members strong. We had about 26 confirmed members totaling around 50 members and family in attendance. We traditionally have our banquet on the 1st weekend in December. However, some logistical problems caused us to delay the party to the following weekend and unfortunately then many folks already had other plans.
Proceeds from 4th Annual Dream Machines Donated to Summerville Miracle League
We also had some special guests from the Summerville Miracle League (SML)! Mr. Steve Hatton (President) and Mr. Michael Lisle (Vice President) and his son from the SML were our guests for the day and we took time to present them with the net proceeds of our 4th Annual Dream Machines car show held in October. This year's Dream Machines car show was our most successful car show on record, with over 230 participants of which we were proud to present them with a check in the amount of $9,000 this year, wow! Over the past 4 years Lowcountry Muscle Car has probably raised about $23,000 for this charity. Way-to-go LMC!
