Summerville Miracle League
The goal of the Summerville Miracle League is to enhance the lives of people with special needs. This will be accomplished primarily through the national pastime of baseball, but will also include other activities that will bring together our athletes and their families in a positive and enriching way.
We cannot change or cure the medical issues life has dealt disabled individuals. What we can do is provide them with an opportunity to experience the joy and benefits that come from playing our national pastime--baseball.
Each year on the 1st Saturday in October, the Lowcountry Muscle Car Club, holds it's Summerville Dream Machines Open Auto Show in downtown Summerville. Much like Summerville's 3rd Thursday's, we close down "Little Main St." in Hutchinson Square for what has become one of the lowcountry's recognized and anticipated car shows!
Children's Miracle Network
Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $5 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Each year in May, LMC and Sam's Club in North Charleston, SC team together and host the Miracle Cruise-in Open Auto Show. Net proceeds after expenses all donated to the Children's Miracle Network MUSC Children's Hospital in Charleston, SC.
