ARTICLE I

Section I: NAME:

The name of the Club is LOWCOUNTRY MUSCLE CAR, hereafter referred to as the Club.

Section II: PURPOSE:

The general purpose of the Club is to promote the heritage of the American Muscle Car.

ARTICLE II

Section I: MEMBERSHIP

A. Membership in the Club is restricted to members who are in good standing as set by the rules and regulations of these bylaws.

B. Qualifications for membership are: Possess American Muscle, paid annual dues, and attend Club activities.

C. Misconduct or acts not in keeping with the purpose of the club are reason for termination of membership. Termination of a member requires a majority vote of the Club officers.

D. Members are required to maintain liability and property insurance on any vehicle used in a Club activity.

E. Members are encouraged to volunteer for Club activity planning committees.

F. Member’s spouses and family are always welcome at Club meetings and events.

G. A member may resign by notifying a Club officer.

Section II: CLUB DUES

A. Annual membership dues will be $20 per member.

B. Dues are intended to provide club annual operating expenses.

C. Dues are payable to the Treasurer.

D. The normal term of membership is January 1 through December 31 of each year. Payment of annual Dues should be paid no later than February 28.

ARTICLE III

Section I: CLUB OFFICERS

A.   Club officers will be: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster, Event Coordinator, Photographer/Historian, Reporter, and Charity Liaison. Those elected will serve from January 1 to December 31 of the year following the election.

B.   Elections of the Club officers require a majority vote of the club membership in good standing. Voting may be by mail or email ballot and must be presented to a Club officer.

C.   Failure to perform duties is cause for removal from office.

Section II: DUTIES OF PRESIDENT

A. The President serves as the Chief Executive of the Club and is responsible for overseeing all activities and functions sponsored by the Club. The President will report on the general condition of the Club and provide other pertinent information.

B.   The LMC president ensures that everyone works together to fulfill the mission of the organization. The president accomplishes this by leading meetings, planning the activities for the year and casting deciding votes when necessary.

Section III: DUTIES OF VICE PRESIDENT

A. The Vice President is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all activities and functions sponsored by the Club or with other organizations.

B.   When the president is absent, the vice president assumes the president's duties. Additionally, the vice president serves as the chair of various committees throughout the year.

Section IV: DUTIES OF SECRETARY

A. The Secretary is responsible for recording all meeting minutes and voting results. The Secretary is responsible for sending information on club activities and functions to local newspapers and to specified websites and drafts all the club's correspondence. Additionally, the secretary takes attendance and maintains the group's contact list including dues status of members (with assistance of Treasurer).

Section V: DUTIES OF TREASURER

A. The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining all Club financials: Monies, debts and obligations. The Treasurer will maintain complete and accurate documentation of all transactions. All Club monies will be held in one single account.

Section VI: DUTIES OF WEBMASTER

A. The webmaster will maintain the club's website and blog as well as other internet based social networking mediums (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) This may be a collateral duty.

Section VII: DUTIES OF EVENT COORDINATOR

A. The event coordinator shall research and identify upcoming events that may interest club members, and provide same to the webmaster and reporter for publication. Additionally, the event coordinator shall identify event sponsors from within the club, and assist the VP with forming event committees for club hosted events.

Section VIII: DUTIES OF PHOTOGRAPHER/HISTORIAN

A. The Photographer/Historian will serve as the primary photographer for club events, and will provide same to the webmaster and reporter for publication. Additionally, he/she will maintain a record of club history.

Section IX: DUTIES OF CHARITY LIAISON

A. The Charity Liaison will maintain open communications between LMC and local charities, including but not limited to Camp Good Times. The Charity Liaison will work directly with the VP and Event Coordinator(s) to ensure every opportunity for charity work is taken.

ARTICLE IV

Section I: CLUB LIABILITY

A.  The Club will maintain a liability insurance policy to cover Club sponsored activities and events.

B. This policy provides coverage for punitive damages and liability for the Club officers and members.
