Drag Day was a blast! (furnace)

With temps soaring over 103° and hot blasts of wind pushing the shade right out from under the tents, it was a hot afternoon at the track. Yet it was a great time, with club members either laying it down on the track, or just sitting back and enjoying the show.

Bob Farley put more miles on the track with his SRT8 Challenger that it's probably seen on the open road. It was a sight to see, normally with some other car (or truck) a length or two behind him.[singlepic id=137 w=320 h=240 float=]

The crowd was excited when Bo's '67 Camaro rolled up, and it was pure music to hear that car roar to life. Unfortunately, a few minutes and a broken yoke later, we were all heartrboken to know we'd have to wait till next time to watch that monster tear down the track. If there were trophies handed out last night, he would have one for 'Best Sport When Things Go Wrong'.

Speaking of next time folks, lets try and get current with our dues if you haven't already. Club memberships are only $20/year, and that is easily one of the best values out there for a years worth of entertainment. It may not seem like much, but this is what helps us host great days at the track, shows, and this website!

Don't forget to check out the photos, and keep watching for upcoming events in Charleston and Myrtle Beach!
